The Staffa Quartet is an ensemble of Royal Conservatoire of Scotland alumni which provides beautiful music for events throughout Scotland. The exclusive team who make up the quartet are all experienced professional players who have performed together in orchestras, ensembles, shows, radio & tv broadcasts, films, bands and tours for many years.

The musicians in the quartet team have worked with: Leonard Bernstein, Hans Zimmer, Sir Simon Rattle, Karl Jenkins, London Concertante, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and Belle & Sebastian at events including: Glastonbury, Coachella, Fuji Rock, Later with Jools Holland; BBC Radio, TV & Proms, the Ghillie's Ball, MTV, the Dior Fashion Show, the Euro Football Championships & Edinburgh's Festival, Fringe and Hogmanay.
The quartet is named after the Hebridean island of Staffa. From the Vikings to the Victorians, the ethereal music in Staffa's extraordinary sea caves has enchanted visitors. In 1829, the composer Felix Mendelssohn visited Staffa, the occasion inspiring his magnificent Hebrides Overture, immortalising Staffa as Scotland’s most iconic musical landscape.
